Sailors,

Recently, sailors at Austin Yacht Club put together a "Test Drive Day" in an effort to stir up excitement towards sailboat racing. The event was hosted by AYC sailboat owners, JBoats Southwest, KO Sailing, and the Viper dude. It was a big hit! At minimum several owners developed a deeper crew pool. On the other end of the spectrum several people may end up buying a J/Boat, a Viper, a Bic Open or a Weta Trimaran.

Al Goethe, J/109 owner and Lakewood YC member, read about the success and was motivated to put together a Test Drive Day at LYC. It is scheduled for this coming Saturday, May 22nd. There will be Vipers, a Hobie Adventure Island, and a Weta Trimaran. The J/Boats owners have really stepped up. We will have J/22, J/80, J/105, J/109, J/122, and the J/145! Hitching a test drive on any one of these boats would be a good reason to come on down. To be able to test them out all on the same day will be an incredible experience! The objective is for you to invite your friends and family that are interested in sailing and bring them out to give them a taste of how much fun this great sport is! SEE DETAILS BELOW
